So I have a new guy starting work today at the office. We were talking about music. He said he listens to a lot of Zepplin, Rush and some Grateful Dead. I said: "Have you ever heard of Shpongle? " And so it begins ...

it really depends who it is I'm introducing...sometimes it's dorset, sometimes invisible man, nothing is something worth doing, or how the jellyfish jumped the mountain. shponglese. ineffable mysteries. it all depends on the person!

I think "around the world in a tea daze" have lots of sounds you could recognise in other Simon tracks/projects, but to choose a track for someone to get them "turned" depends on the music they normally listening to.

Ineffable Mysteries is a fantastic intro to Shpongle I think. It captures the divinity imbedded in the music and awakens the divinity found within the self.

When I meet people who ask what I do, or if they can hear a track I've made, I find it tricky to decide what to play them... Is there a single Shpongle song that encapsulates everything we do? Or a single tune from my catalogue that represents the "Simon Sound"?
What do you choose to play?

Yes Gary. Judging by his musical taste he shared with me, I thought he would be receptive.
