Well this it... The final day of tour! Such a bitter-sweet experience. Whilst I long for my own bed, the birds singing in my garden and a little solitude, there is a certain separation anxiety that occurs. After living with 6 other guys in a tin box for 2 months, I think we will all need a little decompression. Imagine how you feel after Burning Man, but if it had lasted for 7 weeks instead of 1... We are not quite "right in the head" yet... A little too institutionalised to function correctly in society. The highs and lows are magnified a thousandfold, and if you haven't experienced it you can never really understand. The bond forged between my crew and myself is as strong as anything I've encountered in my life... And although we can't wait to get the fuck away from each other's stink, morning breath and weird habits and foibles, within a couple of days we will miss each other and be wanting to get back on tour as soon as possible!
Thanks to all of you who came to our shows, shared your gifts and joined our community on the app.
We will stream the final show tonight from Philadelphia, and then the next time you see me I will be in a studio - I have a little secret project starting soon ;)
